This year’s conference will be conducted on Tuesday 23 August 2011. We are delighted to confirm that Associate Professor Adrian Schoo, Physiotherapy Discipline Leader, Rural Health School, La Trobe University will present in the morning on our theme of motivation. He will then deliver a two hour follow-up workshop during the afternoon concurrent sessions, which will be limited to 60 participants, so register early to ensure your place. Watch this space for a program and a registration form.
Dr Shoo works with rural communities to recruit from and provide education in rural Victoria. Expertise includes musculoskeletal management, and identifying and addressing barriers to maintaining physical activity and exercise, and research interests include workforce development with a focus on allied health and rural health service enhancement. He has written evidence-based books, book chapters and journal articles in and his work informs policy to improve career paths and workforce retention in rural Australia.
