Terms of Reference

The terms of reference for the ASN Committee were established as:

• Develop and implement strategies to facilitate improved communication between service providers and government offices.
• Ensure representation from the Western region on Commonwealth and State government bodies which plan for services to the older population.
• Advise the Commonwealth and State government offices on regional funding and service needs.
• Facilitate appropriate research and working groups around key issues.
• Encourage consultation with consumers and carers in the planning and delivery of services to older people.
• Consult with consumers in policy and service development.
• Advise the auspice agency and project officer of activities of the ASN.
