Who We AreWe are the peak body representing the wide-ranging needs and interests of older people in the Victorian community. Our mission is to mobilise older people and those who work with them, to age well in a just society. What We DoWe have 5 main roles: Policy Development that ensures that the voices of older Victorians are heard Innovative Activities that demonstrate new ways to defy negative stereotypes and age well Information on issues of importance to seniors Representation of the views of older Victorians to government, community and business organisations, the media and service providers Membership - COTA members actively contribute to our organisation and receive a wide range of discounts on insurance, shopping, fuel, accommodation, dining and leisure activities.As the voice of older Victorians, we have an active membership to keep us informed of issues as they arise. For a small fee (as little as $24 a year) you can become a member and enjoy the benefits of being part of the COTA Victoria community. While individual issues may have changed over that time, the determination and commitment of the organisation to ensure that the voices of older Victorians are heard has not. COTA Victoria is governed by an elected Board of Management, dedicated staff and volunteers who continually strive to ensure that the contributions of older people are proudly recognised and acknowledged within our community.
