On Tuesday the 30th April at 10 am COTA Victoria is hosting an info session highlighting its new service Inspiring Life Stories that promotes the health benefits of reminiscing. 45 questions have been developed with Swinburne University to prompt and shape your mum’s story.
There will be a special price for the Reminiscing Story Cards and associated services on the day for those who attend the event.
COTA Victoria wants to make sure the stories of our grandparents are told and shared.
More information about this service at Inspiring Life Stories.

Some quotes that have come from participants and story guides:
Particpants feedback includes:
“My reminiscing is a precious gift to my family.”
“The stories we tell define us to the people who receive them.”
“The story guide has helped me to concisely record my story and I feel listened to and supported.”
“I’ve wanted to tell my story for ages and it’s helped confirm my contribution to my family, my friends and to understand myself.”
June has wanted to tell her story for a long time and now with 6 grandchildren she thinks it a good time. Nothing fancy but a life well lived through an ever changing world.
“I didn’t know that Grandma was a district finalist in the 100 metre sprint when she was 14, and that she volunteered after the war and travelled to Burma. What an interesting life! I only heard about this at her funeral, when Grandad gave her eulogy.”
Find out about your grandparents history before it’s too late.
This is not just a gift to your grandmother but also a gift to yourself because it’s an opportunity to also understand who you are through the eyes of your grandparents.
