The Aged Care Royal Commission commences witness hearings today. COTA Australia CEO, Ian Yates, will be one of the three witnesses this afternoon.
A live broadcast of Yates’s hearing will be available for viewing on the Commission’s website, along with previous readings and transcripts. The Royal Commission will also publish details of hearings to assist parties, witnesses and members of the public.
This royal commission was established by the Federal Government in response to growing concerns about the quality of aged care in Australia. It will explore issues about the care provided in residential settings, as well as someone’s home, and young people with disabilities living in residential aged care.
