Celebrate with us by sharing your story of 70

What are your thoughts and feelings about turning 70? How do you get the best out of this remarkable time of your life? And what’s your outlook on the years ahead – both the opportunities and the challenges?

To celebrate 70 years of promoting opportunities and protecting rights for older Victorians, COTA Victoria is gathering and sharing the insight and wisdom of older Victorians who have reached this important life milestone.

How to participate

We want to hear from Victorians who have turned 70, or are turning 70 this year. In your story, tell us:

  • About you – a few details about you and your family or others close to you
  • What you do with your time?
  • What are the key events that have influenced your life and where you are today?
  • What are the positives about being 70?
  • What are the challenges?
  • What does the future look like for you?

Stories should be up to 500 words. We’d also love it if you could include a photo of yourself.

Submit your story by email to communications@cotavic.org.au.

How we’ll use your story

The COTA Victoria communications team will manage the stories we receive and prepare them for publication. We’ll feature some stories in each edition of COTA Connects this year. We’ll also keep all the material in a ‘story bank’ for future use.

When you send your story to us we will assume that you are giving us approval to publish. We will contact you before we plan to publish your story.
