This will be my very last COTA Connects. While you are reading this July edition, I will be handing over the reins to our new CEO, Chris Potaris. As I look back over my nearly four years at COTA Victoria (three years as CEO and 10 months on the board), I can certainly say it has been a time of significant change and progress. However, there is still so much to be done to enhance the lives of older people in Victoria.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at COTA – although it has not been easy. There have been long hours, a lot of pivoting, and a lot of basic hard graft. But in the end, I will remember the people I’ve met and the difference we’ve made. I’ve met amazing people, both within my team and externally, who are passionate about ensuring that older Victorians live their best lives.
I want to take this opportunity to thank my incredible team. I also want to thank the readers of COTA Connects, who are our biggest supporters.
This is not a goodbye, but a ‘see you later’. I’m sure I will pop up again in some other iteration of myself.
Make yourself a hot cuppa and enjoy what the team has for you today. And remember, you can always invite others to read and subscribe to keep up with all the latest from COTA Victoria.
