CEO’s message

Volunteers are the lifeblood of many organisations, especially in the not-for-profit sector. COTA Victoria couldn’t have survived 70 years – and indeed, would not have even started – if it weren’t for dedicated people volunteering their time and skills to advocate on behalf of older Victorians.

Our volunteers work hard to help make Victoria a better place in which to age. They work on policy development. They sit on our Board and committees. They support our events and present useful information to their peers. They help in the office with archiving and reception. And they’re the biggest advocates for the work we do.

They’re a vital part of our team, and during Volunteer Week, we want to celebrate them. This month’s newsletter is dedicated to all our wonderful volunteers – thank you for supporting us, thank you for your humour and wisdom, and thank you for choosing COTA Victoria to give of your time and energy.

Time to grab that cuppa and enjoy the stories of just a few of our volunteers. And if you’re interested in volunteering with us, get in touch.

Stay safe.

Is there someone you think might want to know what COTA Victoria is up to and would enjoy COTA Connects? Please feel free to share it with them.
