Mentors needed to help jobseekers aged 50+

Through our Working Together Employment Support projects, COTA Victoria is matching mentors with people aged 50+ who need support to return to the paid workforce. The projects are running in Bendigo and across Melbourne’s north and western suburbs through to December 2022.

Still seeking mentors

We’re still on the lookout for volunteer mentors with professional work and life skills to support people on their employment journey. Mentoring sessions take place at a time and place that works for both mentor and mentee, over a period of six months.

We’ve just kicked off our third mentor training series, held online via Zoom. After training, mentors are matched with a mentee at a fun professional speed networking event. The next event, in Broadmeadows, is coming up soon, on 18 June.

Express your interest by visiting our Employment Support page or contact us at wvan_riet@cotavic.org.au or on (03) 9655 2122.

‘I am really impressed with the amount of experience of all the mentors on the program and how we can leverage this experience as a group to improve outcomes for mentees.’
