New Advocacy Team Leader for Seniors Rights Victoria

Seniors Rights Victoria welcomes the appointment of Toni Law to the position of Advocacy Team Leader. Toni brings a wealth of experience in advocacy with older people experiencing elder abuse in Tasmania and Queensland.

Toni is very excited to continue to assist older people in Victoria to have the right to live in safety, be treated with dignity and respect, make their own decisions and have their voices heard.

Seniors Rights Victoria provides free information, support, advice and education to help prevent elder abuse and safeguards the rights, dignity and independence of older people.

Elder abuse is any act which causes harm to an older person and is carried out by someone they know and trust, for example family or friends. Elder abuse includes emotional abuse, financial abuse, social abuse, physical abuse, sexual abuse and neglect.

Seniors Rights Victoria has a dedicated Helpline, specialist legal services, community education and short-term support and advocacy for individuals.

Seniors Rights Victoria is made up of lawyers and advocates who assist older people experiencing elder abuse.
