The Board, Staff and volunteers of COTA Victoria are saddened by the passing of Uncle Jack Charles.
Uncle Jack was an extremely talented artist, a gifted storyteller and a passionate advocate for social justice. Among his many other accolades, Uncle Jack was recognised as Victorian Senior of the Year in 2016.
We were lucky enough to have Uncle Jack’s support over the years at a number of COTA Victoria events and community consultations. He was a panellist at our International Day of Older Person’s 2017: HeART of Ageing event. We were warmed by his presence, buoyed by his humour and enriched by his wisdom.
