Victorians can help COTA Victoria, Seniors Rights Victoria and our friends at COTA Australia, the Older Persons Advocacy Network (OPAN) and Elder Rights Advocacy inform the Australian Government of their views on two major reforms: the new Aged Care Act and the rights and other foundational aspects it contains, and funding principles for a sustainable aged care system.
We’re holding consultations all across Australia to provide a platform for older people, families, carers and people of all ages interested in the future of aged care to share their knowledge and insights.
To have your say about the future of aged care, you can register for in-person consultation forums across Australia. There, you’ll have the opportunity to provide feedback in a safe and inclusive setting.
In Victoria, a consultation forum is set for 25 August, or through an nline-only forum scheduled for 23 August.
Victorians can also share their views on the future funding of aged care in a COTA/OPAN Aged Care Funding Principles Survey, which is found here.
You can also provide your feedback directly to the Australian Government via additional surveys and submissions.
