The importance of connection was a strong theme at this year’s COTA Victoria Annual General Meeting and the accompanying Delys Sargeant Memorial Lecture. More than 90 people attended the joint event, held at Melbourne Town Hall on Wednesday 27 November.
Life member Shirley Ramsay has played a critical role in shaping our organisation into the COTA Victoria we are today. We were delighted to acknowledge Shirley’s contribution with the dedication of the Shirley Ramsay Room at our Melbourne headquarters last month.
COTA Australia has congratulated the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety on its “Interim Report: Neglect”, which has recognised not only the neglect of older people within the aged care system, but also the neglect of successive Governments in implementing earlier recommendations.
