Victoria’s budget was handed down in early May. There are some wins for older Victorians – but also major gaps. Our Policy and Advocacy team has the rundown on the measures across health, transport, housing, aged care, cost of living, elder abuse, and digital and social inclusion.

We’re looking for two new members to join the COTA Victoria Policy Development Committee. If you’re interested in influencing public policy to advance the rights, interests and futures of older Victorians, we want to hear from you.
COTA Victoria warmly congratulates Ruth Hosking, who has been awarded the Order of Australia for her volunteer services to the Bendigo community. As part of COTA Victoria’s peer education team, Ruth delights in helping others by proving clarity in complex and emotional times.
With a federal election looming, now is the time to influence change and secure timely, affordable access to assistive technology for everyone who needs it. Throw your support behind the campaign by registering for our campaign event and receiving your digital supporter pack.
All correspondence may also be collected and stored, particularly in regard to registrations, including Email.
