Celebrate older Victorians
This year the Victorian Seniors Festival turns 40, returning in October with a huge month-long program. This major statewide festival held for and with seniors puts the emphasis on fun and good times.
This year’s festival is once again a hybrid event, with many popular performances already published online. Tune into radio plays, interviews and unique music performances any time via the festival website.
A raft of live events is being planned for October. Mark your calendar for:
- Celebration Day at Federation Square on Sunday 2 October
- the Festival Hub at the Edge from Monday 3 to Friday 7 October
- eight days of free public transport for Seniors Card holders from Sunday 2 to Sunday 9 October.
COTA Victoria will be front and centre at Celebration Day and throughout the first week of October at the Festival Hub. Come and say hello, grab some information or have a chat with one of our friendly staff or volunteers. We’ll also be hosting some special talks and presentations on the main stage at Deakin Edge.
On top of these Melbourne CBD events, there’ll be activities right across Victoria. Your local council will have information about what’s on offer near you.
A printed program listing both the CBD events and many more will be distributed in late August. Keep an eye out and remember to book in early for anything that appeals to you.
