Victorian Seniors Festival

Celebrate older Victorians

Victoria’s one million people aged 60 years and older will be celebrated when the 39th Victorian Seniors Festival Reimagined kicks off this July.

This year’s Festival is a hybrid event, commencing with online performances including video and radio programming featuring a remarkable range of Victorian and Australian performers, creators, makers and thinkers from July and live events from October.

Celebration Day on Sunday 3 October at Federation Square will launch a month of free and low-cost events and activities across the state.

This year’s theme is ‘Keep’n on’ which encourages older Victorians to get back out there and learn new skills, make new friends and take part in fun-filled activities.

The month-long live Festival features a range of entertainment, tours, workshops and experiences across sports, wellness, education and the arts.

Free public transport will be available for Senior Card holders from Sunday 3 to Sunday 10 October across all public transport systems including V/Line trains.

For more information about events and activities, visit www.seniorsonline.vic.gov.au/festival or pick up a free Guide at any Coles store, local library, Council office or neighbourhood house. You can also call 1300 797 210.

COTA Victoria has been an integral partner in the Victorian Seniors Festival since it began. Over the coming months we will be developing online and face to face activities for you to enjoy, including information sessions, physical activity, quizzes and much more. Keep an eye on our website for updates.

For further information about COTA Victoria’s program during the Victorian Seniors Festival please call 1300 135 090 or email askcota@cotavic.org.au.
