As Australians reach retirement age, many use their new-found time to volunteer. There’s no doubt that the community benefits —but so do volunteers themselves, who gain skills, friendships and a renewed sense of purpose.
This National Volunteer Week, Seniors Rights Victoria is celebrating the enormous impact of its volunteer speakers, who helped deliver 93 education sessions to some 3,121 participants across Victoria this year.
