Yesterday, Monday June 15, was World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD), a day to celebrate, empower and inform older people as a way of preventing elder abuse. Despite the COVID-19 restrictions, celebrations went ahead, this time online.
June 15 marks World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. There will be events and activities around Victoria, including information sessions and forums on topics from how to recognise elder abuse, to how to protect your rights and where to find help.
